You can CLEAR codes (after recording all data -) by pressing F5 in Step (4) above instead of F3. You can save ANY of those screens for future reference, either by saving as a txt file in the INPA\BIN folder (copying/moving later to folder of your choice) or by printing screen and saving as a jpg file in folder of your choice using Paint or similar photo editor. The F3 screen shows you ALL the information available about the Fault Code, including P-code number in addition to the BMW FC, so really no reason to select anything OTHER than F3 in this last step.

See later below for use of "Functional Jobs" to quickly see ANY Fault Codes saved in ANY of ~ 20 modules, in 2 minutes or less. F4 "Fehlerspeicher" or Fault Memory is basically the same for each module. If ALL you want to do (at least at present) is read and clear codes, then INPA is NOT difficult to learn, even the original version which is ALL German. On my BimmerGeeks cable, connected to my 2007 328xi E91, INPA connects when that switch is "to the right." Click to expand. You don't say WHOSE K+DCAN cable you have, but if it is like BimmerGeeks, here is what they state about the switch: "As for the switch, left is for old chassis like e46 etc, right is for new chassis like e90 etc.ignore the middle position." My recollection is that switch activates a bridge between certain pins on the OBD II socket.
